Nymphaea "Colorado" Plant Size: Medium-Large. Bred by Dr. Kirk Strawn 1994, flower is peach, 4" - 7" across. When matured the flower will raise well above water surface. Has a 3'"- 7' spread, marliac root system. Leaves are green and are very mottled. Will grow in 1' to 3' of water. Best to grow in 1.5' of water. You can use a 2 to 3 gallon container for this one. This is my favorite Peach Hardy and I have to give Dr. Strawn high marks for creating this one. Excellent bloomer and grower. Good for container pond or earthen. Will spread well. Starts growing early in the year and will stay till the end of fall. Full sun Hardy from zone 4-11.
