Nymphaea “Bagdad” Day blooming Viviparous. Flower is a semi-double cup shape Lavender with golden centers, 5” to 10” across. Leaves are blotched 6“ to 10“ across. Has about a 4’ to 8’ spread. Best to grow in 6” to 18” of water. Flowers are very fragrant and stand well above the waters surface. You can grow this one in a two or three gallon container. Bred by Pring 1941. Good for earthen ponds as well. Bagdad are extremely popular, a must have for any pond. Will tolerate shade especially in hotter climates. Best to grow in full sun. Zones 9 to 11. Plants size is medium-large.
